For many of our clients, we recommend starting with prebuilt solutions to solve common business automation needs fast. But for some situations, Custom RPA development is the only way to go.
When does Custom RPA Development make sense?
If your company is forced to interface with legacy software or performing large scale niche processes, custom automation may be the right fit for you.
The WonderBotz team has the expertise you need to define your processes, develop the correct automations, then test and deploy them effectively.
Benefits of Custom RPA Solutions – Using Bespoke RPA Software
Custom RPA Solutions are created to fit your exact business processes. Automation Discovery assesses the steps of your process being performed now and then streamlines them to be performed the robot way. The result will be bespoke RPA software that is written to all industry best practices, employing reusable code elements to use in future automations.
How Custom RPA Development Works
Step 1 – Automation Discovery
The first step in any RPA journey is determining what to automate. This is done in one of two ways. The first and more traditional is through a Business Analyst. They would determine which processes you wish to automate and observe the work as it is being done to define the processes you are currently using. This can also be done with our AI Process Discovery software GENIE.
Automation Discovery also determines the potential ROI of each automation and which processes are good automaton candidates. The key is to develop end-to-end automation flows, that are big enough to be worth it and clear enough to be automatable.
Step 2 – Solution Architecture
A Solution Architect takes the process map and designs a wireframe for your RPA program. This includes the RPA infrastructure you would use, the RPA Platform licenses you would need, and any additional connectors that may need to be built.
Step 3 – RPA Development
The RPA developer is the engineer who actually writes the code for your Custom Automations. They will build the connectors that call information from your legacy systems and connect that information to modern databases that your robots can work from. They can also design custom application interfaces for attended processes that work with your human staff.
Step 4 – Testing and Deployment
The final step is testing your automations before launching them into active deployment. This step is vital to make sure that enough process exceptions were accounted for in the design phase to make efficient botz. Having done steps 1-3 well makes a huge difference in how much time and money is spent in the fixing and management stages.
