Challenge
Bots stalled by upstream document retrieval delays
Our client had already tried to automate invoice payment remittance, but the results had fallen short. The previous design copied the manual process step by step and leaned heavily on slow target-system UIs. Worse, the bots sat idle by design (digitized document retrieval couldn’t keep up), so downstream bot agents routinely waited for work that hadn’t arrived.
As a result, leadership wanted a different approach. As the customer’s P2P client base grew, every new supplier and customer organization needed to flow through the same workflow without much added engineering cost. In short, the existing design didn’t scale.
Solution
Scalable payment remittance built on WonderBotz frameworks
Our client engaged WonderBotz, which leveraged proprietary frameworks and accelerators to rapidly assemble a payment remittance automation. The new design ran on a schedule, calling APIs to pull invoices ready for payment from Salesforce and the proprietary invoice repository, then using intelligent document processing to extract confirmation data from each invoice PDF. Next, the same workflow navigated each supplier portal, executed the payment, and posted results and screenshot evidence back into Salesforce.
As a result, the redesign removed the upstream-retrieval bottleneck, so downstream bot agents no longer waited on document availability. Payment processing ran 75% faster end-to-end, and the chassis-connector pattern made it easy to onboard new suppliers as the customer’s P2P book grew without much added engineering cost.
