This Global Hospitality company needed to capture its full Gross Room Revenue (GRR) from each guest, and they had instituted a regular review process to track this. However, the audit process was very complicated and time consuming. Their Revenue Compliance & Audit (RCA) department lacked the resources to perform GRR for all their hotels and could only sample a small percentage of their 2,000 hotels each month.
Management wanted a cost-effective way to audit all of their hotels to maximize revenue recognition. They also wanted to reduce their auditors’ workload without adding headcount, as that would be cost-prohibitive.
