Challenge

Insurer designed and built many robotic process automations in Blue Prism over the years to use Internet Explorer as the browser. Unfortunately, Internet Explorer is at end-of-life and Microsoft announced that support for it would sunset starting in Q2 2022. CoE team needed to replace Microsoft Internet Explorer with another browser (i.e., Google Chrome) in order to ensure uninterrupted service for both their business users, agents, and policyholders.

Solution

Using outputs from WonderBotz’s proprietary automation analyzer, a joint team determined scope and level of effort of required changes and established an achievable migration plan. Developers re-mapped objects, updated corresponding stages for Chrome functionality and performed unit testing on the revised objects. The end-to-end automations were regression tested and, upon completion, redeployed to production.
