This manufacturing firm prepares daily, weekly, and monthly safety and performance reports at each of its mills. Mill workers needed to download, adjust and distribute these reports to team leaders. This process was outside their standard workflow and, therefore, only sometimes done on the defined schedule, leading to a lack of management visibility into the critical safety operational metrics.  Leadership needed better visibility into mill operations and wanted a solution to consistently produce and distribute the reports.


Each morning the automation retrieves an excel template controlling that day’s required reports. The automation connects to the inspection and performance systems and generates the necessary reports location-by-location. It then distributes the files to the on-site mill employees promptly. This scalable solution is centrally managed without input from individual mills through externalized parameters and logic for report handling, simplifying the addition of new mills.
