Firm’s clients sometimes require background checks as part of the employee placement process, the costs for which are charged back to the client as a pass-through item. Firm’s billing team needed to look up each candidate, update client billing details and apply the correct invoicing template. This was a repetitive process that was error prone and not scalable. Leadership wanted to reduce processing time and free up the billing team to focus on other work.

Solution

Automation is able to run at all hours, thus maximizing its processing capability. First, it launches and logs into the Firm’s CRM platform to review client records. It takes this data and applies business rules to connect to the correct order history, customer, amounts and dates for billing. The automation then updates billing details and submits the invoice to the client for payment. Advanced exception handling techniques alert the billing team if follow up is required.
