The hotelier cash application team must post payments to client accounts and invoices daily. Payment details are received through email as an Excel file attachment. The data is copied from the email into PeopleSoft, and the Excel file is updated and sent back to the Collection team. Initial efforts to automate cash applications failed to deliver the expected benefits. Leadership wanted to enhance automation to improve processing efficiency and reduce the need for manual processing.
Solution
WonderBotz solution designers worked closely with the client to evaluate the existing automation and uncover improvement opportunities. We externalized account-based and payment-based business rules that properly control how to post payments in PeopleSoft. Updated exception management reduced the need for manual interventions. Additional digital workers can be activated during high-volume periods, which allows automation to process higher workloads.
