Their definition starts with the digitalization of paper systems, and would include the updating of old and out-of-date software or practices.  

The Enterprisers’ definition is more aggressive and prepares you for the emotional impact of change: 

Digital transformation is the integration of digital technology into all areas of a business, fundamentally changing how you operate and deliver value to customers. It’s also a cultural change that requires organizations to continually challenge the status quo, experiment, and get comfortable with failure.

And they are right, any significant change in an organization runs the risk of failure. That is why choosing the right partner for your digital transformation project is vital.
